BS EN 16034:2014 BS EN 16034:2014 is the product standard for performance characteristics of fire resisting and/or smoke control pedestrian doorsets, industrial, commercial, garage doors and openable windows.

Manufacturers of fire resisting doorsets will now be required (before October 2019) to CE mark their products.Regardless of the co-existence period however, the market is unlikely to wait until 2019 and will start to specify that products are CE marked from mid-July. BM TRADA, which also offers technical advice and support, has recommended that manufacturers purchase both the standard and a copy of Getting started with CE marking for construction products, which is available in the bookshop at £19.99 ( TRADA members £18.00).
